In my experience, I have attended many camps all over the world. I feel that in Jelgava the Bartulis and Skrastins camp offers the opportunity for all ages and levels of players to attend and improve their skills while having fun at the same time. High profile(famous) national team players are attending every day! This a treat for the players attending the camp. I talk about this camp all the time and try to let others know that they should do camps just like the Bartulis and Skrastins camp in Latvia! When I work at a hockey camp for the first time, usually and in the past the camp organizers would ask me or re-invite me to “come back” and work again. In this case “I ASKED TO COME BACK”! Everyone in Jelgava makes you feel warm and welcome Oskars has done a great job to ensure that everyone is happy and looked after. Also I had a personal attachment to Karlis and because of my new found friendship with Oskars and Karlis I will keep coming back as long as they will have me. As I said, I have worked at many camps all over the world for many years. One of the main reasons that the Bartulis and Skrastins camp is very successful is the organization from Oskars and Juris to Baiba and all the young instructors who help to reinforce all the techniques and terminologies we are introducing to the players. It takes very hard work to prepare and execute a camp of this size and everyone here makes it look easy!

Šogad Edvards jau bija otro reizi K.Skrastina un O.Bartula hokeja nometnē. Jau pagājušogadu pēc nometnes noslēguma Edvards pateica, ka gribēs arī šogad uz K.Skrastina un O.Bartula hokeja nometni. Šogad jau pēc pirmās dienās pateica, ka ļoti patīk. Man prieks ka bērnam pašam ir liela motivācija un degsme piedalīties šajā nometnē. Novērtēju nometnes trenerus, ka ja bērnam kas nesanāk parāda atkārtoti, kopā izpilda ja kas nesanāk Paldies visiem nometnes darbiniekiem par lielu darbu.

Ļoti laba pēcsajūta pēc šīs nometnes ne tikai dēlam – šīs lieliskās nometnes dalībniekam, bet arī mums vecākiem par izvēli piedalīties tieši šajā nometnē. Sirsnīgs paldies nometnes idejas autoriem un realizētājiem par lielisko organizatorisko darbu, treneriem par izcilo darbu! Liela pateicība par motivējošo un iedvesmojošo attieksmi pret ikvienu no dalībniekiem, par individuālo pieeju un pozitīvismu. Nometnē gūtās iemaņas noteikti tiks liktas lietā nākamajā hokeja sezonā, savukārt tikšanās ar lieliskām hokeja personībām paliks atmiņā visu mūžu. Jau gaidām nākamo nometni. Gribu padalīties ar saviem un savu bērnu iespaidiem par nometni. Tā kā pašai hokejs ir sirdslieta un hobijs, tad ar patiesu, baltu skaudību skatījos šos treniņus no malas, jo, – ai kā gribētos arī pašai iestāties rindas galā un vismaz vienu dienu iejusties bērnu/jauniešu lomā (bet visam savs laiks) :);). Esmu pārliecināta, ka bērniem šādas nometnes ir liels iedvesmas avots turpmākajam darbam treniņos. Neskatoties uz to, ka treniņu diena sanāk piesātināta ar fiziskajām aktivitātēm, vakaros bērni ir pozitīvu emociju pārņemti. Un tā visu nedēļu nenogurstoši līdz pat noslēgumam, kurā bērni ieguva lietiņas atmiņai par šo nometni, kā arī nometnes organizētāju un treneru novēlējumus nākotnei! Un pēc tam jau braucot mājās mašīnā es dzirdu: “Tā esot bijusi viena no laimīgākajām nedēļām dzīvē!” Domāju, ar to viss ir izteikts! Paldies!

Hello everyone !
My name is Arthur, I from Labytnangy in Russia. This year was my first time in Jelgava the Bartulis and Skrastins camp. I would like to say thanks for everything to organizers of that great camp and our coaches who have been with us every day and even spending their personal time as they were taught us new skills. Time that I spend in camp was awesome. Here I’ve been met new friends from different countries. Eeverything was wonderful. Camp was located in very picturesque place and our hotel was equipped with all modern facilities. There were bowling and billiards in it, so we had so much fun here. The meals were fantastic and always on time. Our coaches were the real professionals and famous high profile national team players. Every day we had different activities on and off the ice.I enjoyed trainings a lot. It was really interesting for me. Every day I’ve learned something new about hockey. We had so much fun when we played and trained with our coaches. I feel that through this camp my skills have been improved. Now I know more about puck Ctrl , slap shot, the hockey stance position and I can well use these skills while playing. I am very glad that I was lucky to visit this wonderful camp, so I hope to come back here again next year. СПАСИБО всем ! Это лучший лагерь!

My name is Vyacheslav Kuznetsov and I am a Power Skating coach for Philadelphia Flyers and Adirondack Phantoms. Last year I was invited to the Riga by the player of our team, Philadelphia Flyers, Oscars Bartulis to help with the hockey camp. The camp was eight day, which is unusual for me, but it turn our a great time on and off the ice. We had a players form 6 to 17 years all and they work hard both on and off ice. Even I run my classes in English the kids are listen and was trying to do what I show them on the ice. It was not easy for them on the day one but by the middle-end of the camp most of the guys was able to skate more efficient, faster if they need and stop in good balance, we call that, the hockey stance position. Every body I met last year was extremely nice and I have a great feat back from parents, so when Oscars asked me to come back this year, I said YES right away. Just like a last year the camp personal picked me up in airport and get me to location. Checked in to hotel and tell me what is my schedule will be. Here is every thing what we need to work with. Ice cuts are right on the time, all the group have the team leaders and they get them on ice, off ice and video classes, so no one late. It is not easy for the kids, but they work hard. I like to work here and if I will be invited for next year camp, I will definitely come as longer it will work with my schedule back in the State.

Liels paldies par iespēju būt un piedalīties nometnē! Tā bija liela pieredze apgūt slidošanas un ripas kontroles tehniku intensīvos treniņos pie augstas klases treneriem manam dēlam. Bija prieks vērot treniņus no malas un redzēt kā dēlam patīk šī nometne. Paldies organizatoriem, treneriem un visiem, kas piedalījās, lai taptu šī nometne!

Tas bija kaut kas fantastisks. Laikam pat neatceros, kad mani bērni burtiski pēc katra treniņa, vēl būtu jutušies tik laimīgi un gandarīti. Visu cieņu organizatoriem un treneriem. Ar nepacietību gaidīsim nākošo nometni.

In my experience and over 10 years at the NHL level, I would like to say that my time in Latvia and working with Oskars Bartulis and Karlis Skrastins at their hockey development school was absolutley phenonemal.

Oskars and Karlis put together an amazing team of people who were highly organized and payed attention to detail.
I recommend anyone who wishes to enhance their skills and have plenty of fun should sign up!!
Furthermore, I really liked how the main focus was the players and their willingness to go that extra mile to ensure each and every player was satisfied!!

Izcili! Trūkst vārdu, lai aprakstīto to pozitīvo lādiņu, ko bērni un caur viņiem arī viņu vecāki un tuvinieki saņēma šīs nometnes laikā. Profesionalitāte un milzīgs pozitīvisms, vēlēšanas dot un milzīga griba saņemt – tā dažos vārdos var raksturot tās sajūtas, kas no pirmajām minūtēm pārņēma mālā vērotāju. Šķita, ka vai katrs metiens tika pieslīpēts līdz pēdējam kvadrātcentimetram uz nūjas lāpstiņas, katra kustība – līdz pēdējai niansei. Noslēgumā tikai gribu izteikt cerību, ka šis projekts turpināsies, jo interese un atsaucība ir milzīga, „draugi” un „facebook” lūzt no emocijām un bildēm! Paldies!

Liels paldies organizatoriem no vārtusargu vecākiem! Piesakoties uz nometni, likās, ka lielākais ieguvums varētu būt daudzie metieni uz vārtiem un hokeja zvaigzņu klātiene. Bet izrādījās, ka vārtusargiem noderīgs bija absolūti viss, gan tik nepieciešamās slidošanas iemaņas, gan jauni, azartu veicinoši vingrinājumi un spēles, gan ļoti profesionāli ” sausie” . Vienkārši super bija darbošanās P. Skudras un A. Irbes vadībā.

Labi organizēta un ļoti kvalitatīva nometne. Patīkami bija redzēt tādas augstas klases trenerus Latvijā kuri ar savu augsto treneru reitingu prot strādāt arī ar bērniem. PALDIES
